What is DECRAN?
DECRAN is the Development Communication Research Association of Nigeria. Founded on 12 March 2024, it brings together researchers, educators, practitioners and students working in development communication.

Membership is open to scholars, practitioners, students, development workers, media professionals, civil society actors and those interested in communication for sustainable development.
How do I apply for membership?

What are the published membership fees?
New individual registration is ₦5,000, annual renewal is ₦5,000, student membership is ₦3,000 and institutional membership is ₦20,000 per year. Confirm current fees and payment instructions with DECRAN before paying.
What is IJDCR?
The International Journal of Development Communication Research is DECRAN’s peer-reviewed, open-access journal, published in March and September. It welcomes research papers, review articles, case studies and field reports.
How can I submit research or access journal issues?
Contact the editorial team for submission guidelines and access to current or previous issues. The published vetting fee is ₦5,000; accepted papers carry a ₦35,000 publication fee. Confirm current requirements before submission.
